Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is coming to Jasper County!

Jasper County Books for Little Friends is pleased to announce that all Japer County children under the age of 5 are eligible to register for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. Children who register will receive a free book in the mail every month. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Newton Public Library, the Jasper Community Foundation, and the JMP Early Childhood Initiative.

What is Jasper County Books for Little Friends?

Jasper County Books for Little Friends is the local branch of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library program. Every child who registers for the program will receive a new, carefully selected book each month. Books are mailed directly to the child's home at no cost to the family. The first book is the children's classic, The Little Engine That Could.

Who is Eligible to Participate?

All children under the age of 5 who reside in Jasper County, Iowa are eligible to participate.

How Do I Register My Child?

1. Submit the online registration form or pick up a paper form at the Newton Public Library.

2. Email Jasper County Books for Little Friends any time your address changes. Books are mailed to the address listed on your account and are not forwarded so you must submit an address change at the above email address.

When Will I Begin Receiving Books?

Books will begin arriving at your home 8-10 weeks after you submit your registration form. You will receive a new book every month until your child turns 5 years old, or until you move out of Jasper County.

What Does it Cost to Participate?

Nothing! This program is completely free!
