The Newton Public Library offers local newspapers on microfilm inside the library, accessible during regular library hours. No appointment is required to view the microfilm. Please note, newspapers may be incomplete or missing dates/pages.

Digitized Historic Newspapers Online
A portion of the library's newspapers on microfilm have also been digitized and are available online. Additional newspapers are digitized each year, as funding allows. Funding for the newspaper digitization project is provided by the Newton Public Library Foundation.
