Friends of the Newton Public Library
The Friends of the Newton Public Library is a nonprofit advocacy organization which supports the Library. Our volunteer members advocate, educate, and raise funds on behalf of the Library, its patrons, and the community. The Friends purchase equipment and materials to enhance the Library’s collections and services, and donate many hours of their time for library sponsored functions and programs.

"Catch Your Pet Reading" Calendar Photo Contest Begins June 8, 2020
Show off your furry friends! Share a photo of your pet "reading" a library book for a chance to be featured in our Friends of the Library fundraiser calendar! In addition, two lucky entries will win a $25.00 gift card to EarthWise Pet Supply & Grooming in Newton.
Here’s how to play:
1. Fill out our online form and upload your high resolution photo, beginning on June 8th. Be sure to include your pet’s name and tell us all about your special friend. Photos must include the pet posing with a book, to be considered for the calendar contest. The last day to submit your photos will be June 27th.
2. Winners for the gift card drawings will be randomly selected on June 30th.
3. Vote for your favorite photos! Vote for your favorite photos online. Visit our voting link, beginning June 30th. Voting will run June 30th - July 11th.
The top 12 pets will earn a place in our 2021 calendar and a free copy of the calendar, courtesy of the Friends of the Library!
