The Newton Public Library announced the launch of a new digital archive this summer. The archive includes digitized materials selected from the collections of the library, the Jasper County Historical Museum, and private citizens. Available materials include photographs, postcards, documents, and yearbooks that record the history of Jasper County's schools, government, businesses, and residents. The archive also contains digitized copies of the Newtonia High School yearbook dating as far back as 1911.
New archive content is added weekly and the library welcomes submissions from the community.
