Members of the Newton Fire Department attended the spring conference for the Iowa Fire Chief’s. Tuesday, April 9, was an executive development day where 7 members received training in situational awareness from Chief Rich Gasaway (Ret.), from Roseville, Minnesota. Chief Jarrod Wellik attended the Chief’s Conference on April 10 and 11 where approximately 40 chief’s from across Iowa came together to discuss current issues and trends in the fire service across Iowa.
