Newton Main Street, along with Main Street Iowa, would like to announce the hiring of Erin Yeager as the Executive Director for Newton.
Erin has been a Store Manager at two Subway locations in Grinnell for the past nine years, as well as a hairdresser at Back Alley Beauty in Newton for 20 years. You may have also seen Erin while she is out in her various capacities of volunteering in the community. She comes to Newton Main Street with a tremendous amount of knowledge regarding Newton, it's past, it's present and what it will take to keep it successful.
Utilizing the Main Street Approach, Newton capitalizes on the unique identity, assets, and character of our historic commercial district. The Main Street Approach consists of tightly integrated components making up a common-sense, strategy-driven framework that guides community-based downtown revitalization efforts. Locally developed strategies are implemented through comprehensive work in four broad areas, known as the Four Points: Economic Vitality, Organization, Promotion, and Design.
Erin has a daughter Hannah, two sons Gavin & Parker, as well as her significant other Dustin. You can find Erin starting on August 19th located at 113 1st Ave W in Newton. Stop in, say ‘Hi’ and welcome her to Newton Main Street.
