[ARCHIVED] Electronics, Appliances & Scrap Metal Recycling Event

The City of Newton and H&W Recycling are holding an Electronics, Appliances & Scrap Metal Recycling Event on Saturday, September 7 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the public parking lot at N 2nd Ave W & W 4th St N. Citizens can recycle heat and cooling appliances, outside and yard equipment, household items and appliances, scrap metal and electronics during this event. Below is a list of items that H&W Recycling: 

  • Heating & Cooling
  • Outside Yard/Equipment
  • Household Items & Appliances
  • Electronics- H&W Recycling will recycle most electronics for free. The following are some of the electronics they accept for free:
  • H&W Recycling will accept TVs and computer monitors for a fee:
    • TV’s regular-sized $15.00
    • Console TV’s $30.00
    • Big Screen TV’s $30.00
    • Computer Monitor $15.00

H&W Recycling has all certifications to de-manufacture appliances, freon, and electronics. They are also certified by the DNR and the EPA. If you have questions, call them at (641) 227-3200.
