School Resource Officer Tom McDonnell attended the NRA School Shield Security Assessor Training hosted by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office during the week of October 21.
The school trained law enforcement officers in assessing current security measures at schools in their communities and identify opportunities to improve them. Officer McDonnell will be working with the NCSD over the next several months to assess the various facilities and make recommendations for improvement.
