The City’s first measurable snowfall and the activation of snow removal operations occurred on November 11.
Snow removal operations are declared when 2 inches of snow has fallen. During snow removal operations vehicles are not allowed to park on city streets. Snow ordinance violations are $35. Police officers wrote over 70 parking citations during this first operation.
Vehicles parked on streets during snow removal operations make it difficult for snowplows to clear the roads and cause a safety issue for other motorists. Residents are encouraged to call 791-SNOW, check the City website, or sign up for alerts and notifications through the City website to determine if snow operations are in effect.
