Snow removal operations were declared on January 13th, 17th, 19th and 22nd. Over 145 snow ordinance violation tickets were issued during that time period for vehicles illegally parked in residential and uptown business district areas. Snow tickets are $35 each. Many of the vehicles that remained on the street for several days after receiving a snow ordinance ticket were issued another $15 ticket for 72 hour parking violation. Vehicles that remain will be issued tow notices and towed accordingly for non-compliance.
