This winter, the Community Services Division’s Engineering Technician III Joe Grife and manager Brian Laube both attended recertification classes in the Iowa DOT’s Technical Training & Certification Program.
This program offers certifications in various construction areas including PC Concrete and Hot-Mix Asphalt plant inspection, construction aggregates, and project testing.
In order to inspect and administer City construction projects that utilize federal funds, staff must stay current on these certifications by showing proficiency in these areas at recertification classes held every five years.
