The Newton Fire Department placed a new ambulance in service on 8/20/2013. Shown at left, members of Crew 3 push the new ambulance into the truck bay as Captain Chad Ray wets the ambulance down. This is a traditional way to place a new piece of equipment into service. Members of the department push the unit into the station similar to how members of the past would push a horse drawn cart into the station. As part of the ceremony, Ron Husted, in the foreground, plays the bagpipes during the dedication.
