The Newton Police Department is proud to introduce our Community Service Officer interns for the summer of 2021.
Darara Dawassa is a 2021 graduate of NHS where he played on the soccer team and was also a student at Des Moines Area Community College. He will be attending the University of Iowa in the fall majoring in criminal justice and psychology.
Skye Gregory is a 2019 graduate of NHS and is currently attending Marymount University in Virginia majoring in criminal justice and psychology and minoring in forensic psychology and forensic criminal investigation.
The CSO interns will be assisting the PD over the summer with parking enforcement, animal control and community events. Welcome Darara and Skye!
