The 2014 dog, cat and miniature pig licenses are available for purchase. Pet owners are being reminded that 2014 animal licenses must be purchased by March 31, 2014, to avoid a late fee of $20.00. Licenses are available at the Newton Police Department, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The license fee for altered pets is $15.00. The license fee for unaltered
pets is $25.00. Residents need to bring proof of current rabies vaccinations for their pets when purchasing the license. The city does not accept debit cards.
