The Jasper County Fire Chiefs have requested and received approval, from the State Fire Marshal’s Office, to lift the Open Burning Ban for Jasper County. Open burning is allowed starting at 3:00 PM on 10/13/2021. Rain over the past few days led to the lifting of the Open Burning Ban.

To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to Chapter 100.40, State Code of Iowa, and at the request of NEWTON FIRE CHIEF JARROD WELLIK, representing each fire department having all or part of their fire districts within JASPER COUNTY, the open burning ban for JASPER COUNTY will be lifted effective 10/13/2021 3:00 PM.
