[ARCHIVED] Richardson Run Memorial 5K

The Richardson Run Memorial 5K is set for 9 a.m. Saturday, May 16, at the Newton Police Department.

The Richardson Run Memorial 5K is named after Lt. Patrick Richardson, a Newton police officer who died on Sept. 1, 2013, after suffering a heart attack while on his morning run. Funds raised from the event will support the creation and expansion of the Newton Law Enforcement museum and memorial located at the Newton Police Department.

The pre-registration fee is $20 and includes a Richardson Run T-shirt. After May 1, the registration fee is $25 and does not guarantee the walker/runner a T-shirt. Prizes will be awarded to the first-place male and female finishers and age group winners.

Online registration is available at www.getmeregistered.com, and registration forms are available at www.fitnesssports.com and the Newton Police Department.
