The initial Notice to Proceed was issued on October 4, 2017 to Lanphier Excavating LLC of Reasnor, Iowa allowing abatement work and water service disconnections to begin at 900/904 1st Ave W, 524 S 4th Ave E, and 619 S 3rd Ave E. As the abatement and demolition work progresses this fall the three residential locations noted above, along with the two remaining structures at the former Newton Country Club on W 12th St S, will be completely removed and the sites backfilled and seeded.
