While the Library was closed for renovations, other projects were completed as well. Our Children’s restroom was converted into an ADA complaint restroom for all ages and gender. Baby changing stations were added to our public restrooms (which if you have been watching the news has been a hot topic) and new partitions were ordered to replace the rusted metal partitions currently in the restrooms. Security Cameras were added to the outside of the building, and a new projector and sound system was installed in our public Meeting Room. The Library also expanded their Pollinator Garden with a grant from the Neal Smith Wildlife Refuge. This Pollinator Garden is accredited through the state and will receive a new sign designating its importance. The parking lot entrance also received 50+ plants that are considered pollinators although not all native to the Midwest. The photo below shows the new plants by the west entrance and in the background is our large Pollinator Garden.
