This program was such a hit, we had to have it twice! Adult participants learned about marimo; freshwater algae balls that grow naturally in lakes in Europe and Japan, but can be kept as indoor water plants. After learning about the care and propagation of these unique plants, attendees assembled their own decorative habitats in glass containers and were invited to take a marimo home. The first program was offered in July and was repeated again in August due to high demand.
