23. All rental properties are divided into four geographic quadrants of the city, each with different registration renewal deadlines. The NW quadrant deadline is March 31, the NE quadrant deadline is June 30, the SE quadrant deadline is September 30 and the SW quadrant deadline is December 31.
25. All rental properties in Newton will be inspected regularly by the City of Newton's contracted inspector. All newly registered rental property shall be inspected within 6 months of registration. Rental inspections must be scheduled by the property owner with Iowa Inspections. To schedule an inspection, please call 515-587-0065.
