DMACC Conference Center
The City of Newton is inviting the community to attend and participate in a public forum to provide feedback for the ongoing Comprehensive Plan project. This will be one of the final opportunities to have your voice heard as part of the engagement for this project, so make sure to mark your calendars! The event will include a brief presentation, an interactive digital exercise, and an opportunity to share your appreciation, concerns, and vision for Newton’s future.
Newton Public Library
Join us for baby storytime Monday mornings! Baby storytime lasts about 15 minutes and consists of one or two short books, songs, and bubble play time. This program is for ages newborn to 18 months with a caregiver. Siblings welcome.
Regular Board Meetings are typically scheduled at 6:30 PM on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month (with a few exceptions).
We are a meet-up that introduces creatives and entrepreneurs to one another so that they can share ways to grow their ideas. We are a space for outside-the-box thinkers to find and support each other’s ideas. We are here to help people make connections that stimulate organic economic growth.
Jasper County Courthouse
In-person storytime for children ages 18 to 36 months with a caregiver. Storytime will last for 20 minutes with a simple craft following. Siblings are welcome to attend. Questions? Please contact Phyllis Peter at 641-792-4108.

Our Public Services Librarian will provide dedicated support for job-seekers on Wednesday afternoons. Children ages 3-5 and their caregivers are invited to join us for Preschool Storytime on Thursday mornings. Storytime includes books, music, and a simple craft. Siblings are welcome to attend. No registration required. There will be no storytime on November 11th or 25th, due to Veteran's Day and Thanksgiving.
