  1. Library Cooling Center Open

    August 18, 2020, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM @ Newton Public Library

The Newton Public Library is serving as a public cooling center, due to storm damage and power outages in Jasper County. Both free WI-FI and public internet computers are available. Visitors may also charge phones and other electronics, and cool down inside the building. We are not checking out materials at this time. Outdoor charging stations will remain available for anyone who wishes to visit after hours. You may access the WI-FI from the outdoor charging stations, and the password will be posted on the front doors. We ask that you avoid fallen trees and storm debris on the grounds and avoid parking near debris piles. Social distancing measures will be in effect inside the building and all building visitors are required to wear masks
