    The Newton Public Library is collecting NEW cold weather clothing for children ages 6 - 18! Requested donations must be new and include coats, hats, sweatshirts, and socks. Donated clothing will be given to Newton schools, to be distributed to local students in need. Donations will be accepted November 1 - 6 at the library circulation desk.

  2. Japanese Masks & Folklore

    Join Tanis Sotelo from the Japan America Society of Iowa as he explores Japanese folklore and iconic characters through traditional and Anime masks. These masks play an important part in Japanese culture, and are often found in festivals and theater plays. This program is open to the public and is free to attend. No registration required. This program is designed for all ages and is family friendly. The program will be held in the library meeting room.
