  2. SOAR Raptor Rescue

    SOAR- Saving Our Avian Resources Raptor rehabilitation from Manning, Iowa will bring some of their current raptor rehab patients and share information about their important work. Every year, they rehabilitate over 300 raptors for release into the wild. They rehabilitate Bald Eagles, Hawks and Owls of all species found in Iowa. This program will be held outside on the library lawn, please bring a blanket to sit on. Lawn chairs will be asked to sit at the back so others can see. No registration is necessary. Questions?     The pool is open to the public daily during the summer months. The pool does periodically close due to weather related issues or other concerns. All pool closing information will be posted on the City's website as a News Flash, as well as on the Newton Park and Recreation's Facebook page. The information will also be released to local radio stations.
