    The Proud to Know Newton radio show, hosted by Craig Armstrong and produced by KCOB, is aired every Thursday at 6 p.m. on KCOB 95.9 FM & AM 1280. The 30 minute show features an interview with a special guest about their organization, work or event. Guests range from City employees, non-profits, event organizers and business owners. Details for each show are posted online each week and the show is available to stream on KCOB's website.

  2. Teen 3D Heart Butterfly Canvas

    We will make a 3D heart butterfly canvas you can hang in your room, personalized with your name. You must pre-register and give us the name you wish to have featured in the center of the heart. For grades 6-12 only (grade just completed). Call the library at 641-792-4108 to register.

    The pool is open to the public daily during the summer months. The pool does periodically close due to weather related issues or other concerns. All pool closing information will be posted on the City's website as a News Flash, as well as on the Newton Park and Recreation's Facebook page. The information will also be released to local radio stations.
