Newton Public Library
Pay down your fines with a food! During the week of May 16th, we'll waive overdue material fines in exchange for a food donation. Donations will not be accepted for missing or damaged library materials, and wifi hotspot fines are not eligible. Donations must be canned or otherwise non-perishable food items, and should not be expired. All donations will be given to the Salvation Army Food Bank in Newton. 1 item = $1.00 in fines!
Get a jump start on your 2022 reading goal with our new adult book club! This book club will read popular titles in a variety of genres, and is sure to have something for every reader. Copies of the monthly title can be picked up at the library information desk. New members are always welcome. The May selection is, "Wuthering Heights" by Emily Bronte.
Work on your resume, edit your cover letter, or complete an online application during our job-seeker support hours. Our Public Services Librarian will provide dedicated support for job-seekers on Wednesday afternoons. The co-ed league will consist of 6 games plus a league tournament. The league will begin on May 4. The registration deadline is April 22.

The City of Newton Community Services Department - Parks & Recreation is partnering with Kinetic Edge Physical Therapy in hosting walks for seniors 55 years and older. Bring a friend or make a friend while getting some refreshments, then we encourage you to get outside, walk, and enjoy the scenery of both Maytag Park and Agnes Patterson.
