Hosted by Newton Main Street, the market features a variety of vendors and has something for everyone. Join the market on in downtown Newton from 4 to 6 p.m. every Tuesday, June through September. The Market is authorized to participate in the WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP). The Newton Farmers' Market history began in the 1980's, started by local attorney and Chamber of Commerce member Herbert S. Selby.
Iowa Speedway Grandstands
The Pyrotechnics Guild International (PGI) is bringing their annual convention to Newton this summer. The public is invited to join them for three nights for Thunderstruck Over Iowa Speedway. This is the public’s chance to see one of the largest fireworks shows around the nation put on by professionals.

Wondering what to read next? Check out our FREE monthly mystery bags for adults! Mystery bags have a different theme every month and contain a surprise selection of 4-5 books and an adult craft. Return the books when you're done with them - keep the craft! The August theme is "May We Recommend..." and includes a selection of the library staff's favorite titles and recommended reads.
